Australian ecommerce email agency

Shopify email marketing for Australian stores

Most Shopify stores earn 8–15% of revenue from email. A properly built system earns 25–35%. I build and run that system for Australian ecommerce brands.

What's included

The four pillars of an ecommerce email channel that pays for itself

Automated flows

Welcome, abandoned checkout, browse abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, back in stock, win-back, VIP and sunset — the always-on revenue layer.

Campaigns & calendar

A send calendar built on Australian seasonality, with segmentation so your best customers hear from you more and your list doesn't burn out.

List growth & forms

Pop-ups, sign-up incentives and post-purchase capture that grow the list with buyers instead of discount hunters.

Deliverability & reporting

Domain authentication, sunset rules and monthly reporting on revenue attributed to email — not open rates.

Why Australian-specific

Email built for Australian buyers, not copied from a US playbook

Overseas agencies send at the wrong hour, promise delivery times Australia Post can't meet and plan Christmas campaigns for a Northern Hemisphere winter. The details compound.

  • Send windows tuned to AEST, ACST and AWST, not US business hours.
  • Shipping-cutoff and transit-time messaging that matches Australian delivery reality.
  • GST-inclusive pricing and Spam Act compliance handled correctly.
  • Seasonality planned around an Australian calendar, not a Northern Hemisphere one.
"Amos rebuilt our welcome series and abandoned cart around the way reef keepers actually buy. Within six weeks our email revenue share moved from 12% to 27%."

Case study

Real results from a real Australian store

This is the same email program I manage for an Australian Shopify store in a tight niche — the model behind everything above.

Figures pulled directly from The Coral Shop's live Klaviyo account on July 24, 2026 — not curated screenshots.

  • Audited the existing Klaviyo setup and found broken automations quietly costing sales.
  • Rebuilt a misfiring Abandoned Cart flow that was generating virtually nothing — now converting with 25%+ opens.
  • Reworked the Welcome Series with proper calls-to-action — opens climbed from the high-20s into the high-30s.
  • Restructured segmentation and introduced a monthly calendar of eight educational and product campaigns.

Transparency note: The Coral Shop is also a business I run day-to-day operations for — it's where I build and stress-test every flow before bringing it to clients.

FAQ

Shopify email marketing questions from Australian store owners

What does a Shopify email marketing agency do?

It owns the email revenue channel end to end: connecting Shopify to your email platform, building automated flows, segmenting your list, planning and sending campaigns, protecting deliverability and reporting on attributed revenue. For Australian stores that also means AEST/AWST send timing, domestic shipping expectations and Spam Act compliance.

How much of my revenue should come from email?

For a healthy Shopify store, 25–35% of total revenue from email and SMS is a realistic target. Most stores I audit sit between 8% and 15%, which usually means flows are missing, under-built or never optimised after launch.

Do I need to be on Klaviyo?

Not to start. If you're on Mailchimp, Omnisend or Shopify Email I'll tell you honestly whether switching is worth it. Klaviyo is my recommendation for most Shopify stores because of its native Shopify data and segmentation, but the platform matters less than the strategy behind it.

Is this only for Australian stores?

Australian stores are the focus. Timezone, transit times, GST-inclusive pricing and local seasonality (an inverted Northern Hemisphere calendar) are baked into how I plan campaigns. International stores are welcome but won't get that same edge.

What size store do you work with?

Typically $5k–$100k per month in revenue with 500 or more subscribers. Below that, the free audit will tell you whether it's worth starting now or in a few months.

How quickly will I see results?

Abandoned checkout and welcome flows usually produce within days of going live. Most stores see meaningful movement in attributed email revenue within 30–60 days.
